TOP 10 FASHION TRENDS FOR SPRING/SUMMER 2025

Today I would like to share with you my intake on the Women fashion trends for Spring/Summer 2025. This year has been marked by an effortless elegance of bohemian chic complemented with a presence of masculine-feminine styles on runways. We are celebrating individuality and personal style with a bold and nostalgic turn.
1. Bohemian Style
Bohemian Style, also called “Boho Chic” is a free-spirited and unconventional style making its come back this year. Sheer fabrics with heavy beading and embroidery flourished on Chloé, Valentino, Fendi, and Armani runways. The designer looks extended to hair too. Brands like Elena Velez and Cucculelli Shaheen enhanced their models’ long hair with flowy ribbons and gold jewellery. If you want to embrace this style, you can by layering sheer pieces and investing in vintage gowns, maxi dresses, peasant blouses, jean jackets, wide pants and flowy skirts. In addition, you can accessories with feather earrings, scarves, belts, fringed bags and suede boots.

2. Pastel Pink
Pastels are as always, the perfect hue for a summer/spring season. This year, powder pink is particularly in trend. I love pink and particularly blush pink, so this isn’t going to be hard to adopt this trend. While you’re welcome to wear pastel pink however you wish, the real fashion statement you can make is by mixing and playing with different texture to add more depth to your outfit. A silky skirt with a light jumper would be a start for instance.

3. Athleisure
Some luxury labels are once again finding inspiration in the least glamorous pieces in everyone’s wardrobe. At Ferragamo, models looked like they were leaving ballet class; at Tory Burch, the pool; at Tod’s, track practice. The trick here is smart styling. Spend a moment considering which color, texture, and layering pieces you would like to assemble. You can play with proportion by pairing loose items such as an oversized sweatshirt with tighter ones like a legging. Then accessories with minimalist jewellery or a statement tote to elevate your style. I’m personally not a big fan of this style as it doesn’t flatter all body shapes (and leggings are not pants!). So be careful what you pick this season. Voila…

4. Nautical Fashion
Nautical fashion style is making a comeback too and is marked by coastal references such as Breton stripes, sailor flares, flap collars, boat shoes, seashells, gold buttons, nautical netting. Luxury labels like Miu Miu, Sacai, and Proenza Schouler showcased this style on their runway, which according to fashion experts, means that it’s primed to stay and be seen everywhere. You can adopt any coastal references, but the easiest one is of course the traditional French mariniere of course. A staple in my wardrobe because you can dress it up or down with a pair of jeans or dressy navy slacks. Add to this some suede loafers, a lovely silk scarf to your bag to create an effortlessly cool look.

5. Old Money Luxury
In contrast with the quiet luxury trend we saw last year, we had a reintroduction of loud luxury (or old school luxury). Traditional fashion names like Chanel (obviously), Gucci and Louis Vuitton showcased the fabric on their runways this year. While a piece of two of this trend won’t hurt your closet, beware of the fashion faux-pas here. You don’t want to look like an old rich lady by wearing a full tweed ensemble, it’s outdated, aging and even boring. You can invest in a classic dress or a knit cardigan worthy of Jackie O. but please keep things from getting too tradwife by introducing some casual pieces like jeans or white sneakers for instance. Again, the secret of fashion is styling smartly casual with formal, and this trend gives you the perfect opportunity to do so.

6. Slim-cut pants
After dominating the fashion scene for years, I didn’t expect the return of slim fit jeans. Well, here we go again but this time the best style are slim fit, not to confuse with skinny cut. Slim jeans are tight, but not as tight as skinny jeans. They are closely fitted around the hips and legs but leave a slight opening at the ankles. We’ve spotted this trend on Prada, McQueen, Sportmax, Mugler, and Aaron Esh. You can style yours with a white T-shirt, a crewneck cardigan, and black booties to go full Parisian chic. But remember, slim cuts don’t flatter all body shapes. Make sure you style your overall outfit in order to create a balanced hourglass figure.

7. Pastel Green
Another sweet pastel colour this year is a lovely mint/ pistachio. Tove and Chloé used the shade on their dresses while Tibi and Tory Burch on their bottoms. We’ve seen also Prada and Simone Rocha adopt this hue in their accessories. Mint green is particularly suitable for Spring and Summers seasonal colour palettes.

8. Maximal Accessories
Unfortunately, the Quiet Luxury trend we witness last year didn’t last that long. We are back to maximalism in the realm of accessories. We’ve witnessed plenty of bag charms on the runways. Coach covered their bags in faux stickers while Chopova Lowena added studs on to hair bows and sneakers. Moschino and Saint Laurent had their models walking the runway wearing as much jewellery as they could carry. You can show off your personal style with gigantic hair bows, sneaker or bag charms, busy necklaces, and layered keychains. This year more is more (but not for me!).

9. Preppy Style
Preppy style is here to stay. With this academic look, you should prioritize structured silhouettes, pastel colours, basic garments, plaid prints and embroideries. A pleated skirt, a polo, and shirt dresses would get you started. You can find some lovely pieces at Ralph Lauren or Tommy Hilfiger for a decent price. For accessories you can pick among headbands, ray ban sunglasses, pearls, loafers. You can also choose to break the rules by untucking shirt or wearing your black loafers with white socks.

10. Working Girl
The ideal working woman’s outfit is now moving toward something more minimalist and masculine. You can opt for loose jackets or trousers for a masculine feel but make sure you add in a feminine piece to show off your womanly body. Clean lines defined blazers were spotted at Toteme and Tory Burch. Jacquemus and Peter Do showed full, pleated skirts. You can start with an oversized shirt or a vest for a start, and stick with greyscale colors, a trendy belted bag for your laptop and some sleek glove flats.
